Marilyn Monroe Rolo
Well, here is my first ever rolos. They aren't as neat and tidy as I would like but for a first try I really love them! I wanted to portray her as just a woman. She has a quote that includes "just a girl" and I thought of putting that on there but Forever Young kept coming to mind. Perhaps because it was my childhood friend's birthday recently and she was killed in a motorcycle accident two years ago. So that song comes to mind during times like that.
I never really had a lot of interest in Marilyn Monroe beyond seeing a few movies and knowing she was a sex symbol etc. She died when I was a year old. But I got her book "My Story" and not only was she beautiful but she was a savvy woman who lived life on her terms as much as was possible. The photos of her from the Milton H. Greene archives are breathtaking!
I also recently purchased three small framed prints of her for my nightstand from Etsy. It just goes to show everyone has a story even someone we think we know...
